2011 -- A Year in Review
To see the complete list of books I read in 2011, go here: 2011 Reviews.
I read some great books in 2011. I didn't read even half as many books this year as I did in 2010. I spent more time focusing on my writing rather than my reading. Some of the books I read didn't draw me in as much as they could have and when I'm not totally enthused about the book I'm reading, it takes me longer to get through it. I should probably just not struggle through books that don't capture my attention right away. But I hate quitting!
My ten favorite reads for 2011, in no particular order:
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
It's Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han
We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Enclave by Ann Aguirre
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Stay by Deb Caletti
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
As you can see... I was extremely smitten with the "Summer" series by Jenny Han! There were others that should get an honorable mention, but I'll leave you with only ten!
Here's to 2012!
